The daughter of Fiero(JPN) Queen Spirit proved her mettle by winning the Nilgiris Derby Grade 1 contest, by beating the dual favourite Still I Rise and Remediesofspring. It was just a cracker of a race with Rubirosa leading all the way with a teriffic speed till 1400metres then got punctured. Suleiman Attaollahi trained Queen Spirit proved her class and did make no mistake to reach the post first. Zervan did kept the horse in good position while entering the home stretch ,just whipped twice and the horse did respond well and left the rest of the field cold. Glorious Grace just flew away from the end position and drew level with the front runners finishing second behind Queen Spirit. The market favourite Still i rise just got managed to fill the third spot. Congratulations to the emtire winning team and speciall to the trainer to keep the horse in pink condition.
